    Transistor as switch

if you just want a switch then this is fine. just try to consider the input parameters such as current limit, etc.

    Transistor as switch

what do you mean by isolated? not connected? I dont think so, i want to know how did you get 10V. I'm trying to compute the total power of your transistor with the application in order to see if it is overstressed of not. anyhow, I normally put a biased resistor in parallel with the BE junction...

    thermistor for fish tank temp

The LM335 is a good solution. If you're still interested with thermistor, you can use this tool. [muRata]MMCSV Download Service

In my country, Philippines, Computer Engineering are more on the embedded systems, not just computer technicians but designing a combination of analog and digital system (this is what i have taken). It is also a combination of HW and SW. We have Electronics and Communication Engineering, which...

    Transistor as switch

there are some missing parts in the circuit, can you provice the complete schematic?

    Hello need your help

This is fairly good but its not that effecient. The heat from the junction of the diode will go through case, then to lead, then to copper board, then to ambient. Tabbed devices are better in terms of thermal considerations. They have lower thermal resistance.

    Need Optical data communication ideas.

There are IC's that transmits data through optical connection. I forgot the part numbers. But, LVDS I think is much cheaper but optical is much faster.

    Receiver output form? (LVDS)

LVDS basically is used in transmitting data over a long distance. its one way to avoid distortion over the data lines. this is actually depends on you're receiver. if its capable to driver you're FET, then its fine.

    ECU project ?

So you're actually looking for a some sort of diagnoser. This actually depends on the system of the car used. You can to see about autosar. If the car is using this, maybe (i'm not sure) you may able to see the errors. Normally, the diagnostic results are saved in a external eeprom of an...

    Combinatoric timing problem

and the poster mentioned, causes S to go high for some ns and then go because of delay in leftmost and gate. Initially, the inputs are lo. the complementary input of the right most gate is actually hi. at the switch turned to hi, because of the propagation delay of some ns of the left most...

    Combinatoric timing problem

True, but sometimes its an issue if you're working at highspeed specially if the timing is critical

    ECU project ?

I agree, definitely. In my case, the car is not poorly designed, but poorly modified. :) a 1987 sedan box type with a kia besta 2.2 desiel engine and other part as collected from different car makers (toyota, honda, nissan, etc.). When I added the design, works fine for 3days, and then died. I...

    Combinatoric timing problem

Try to see the propagation delay of each gates (semicondutors produces interal delays).

    ECU project ?

I know the difference (I'm still here in the automotive design, and at the same time I mocking my car with electronics). I just wanted for others to have caution in doing this, I almost had an accident while driving cause I modified something with my fuel injection pump. I drive at quite a...

    digital clock with alarm (12hours)

Hi, I don't know if its working. just try it first and tell me what happened. We'll start from there. I try to simulate it but unfortunately, my orcad is not functioning. good luck, chaerl
