Hello and Welcolme to Cocodrilabs!
Previously known as Engallamientos, Cocodrilo Laboratories is not only my hobby: it’s also my favorite way to learn and share knowledge since 2007. The topics are Electronic projects, Home and Machine Improvement, and DIY Repairs.
My posts have variable technical complexity and some of them have been made with the guidance of members of the Electro Tech forum over the course of years (see below).
As I state on the site, unfortunately I’m not an engineer and English is not my first language, so excuse me if you find any mistake before I do. I work hard to deliver the most technically accurate and honest ”step-by-step” guides.

Thank you very much ElectroMaster!! I'm glad you liked it. I'll keep adding new projects as soon as I find a new workshop. On my country the slang word "engalle" or "engallar" refers to a refurbishing process applied to a car -normally by the owner- intended to improve the performance and aesthetic value. Note that this process is not always successful, resulting in worsened performance or uglier appearance (hence the funny two-sided meaning of the word). I suspected that the word was detrimental for the image of the site, so I choose Cocodrilo. Is not only an adult-oriented joke, it's also easier to pronounce in English! ;)

Hello. My name is Mike. I'm new to this website, but I am looking for some help. I'm trying to build a simple laser tag game. I've looked at all of these DIY sites and end up buying a bunch of stuff I don't need, or don't know how to use. At this point, I've gotten rid of everything and I am left with a dollar store laser pointer (IR I think), a bread board (276-150, but I just ordered a simple non soldering bread board yesterday), a couple 'infrared emitter and detector' (Nexxtech 1PR), a bunch of 9V battery plugs and wires, Peizo buzzer, and a bunch of small LED lights. Could you help me make a laser receiver for a simple laser tag game? Thanks. Mike
