What happened to page numbers?

The other day the site had a notice in yellow about it going down for maintenance. Since then the page numbers at the top and bottom of the "new posts" main page don't change the background color to let you know what page your on.

No real big deal but makes it harder for a dummy like me to figure out where
I'm at reading the posts.

Is this a part of the maintenance or a artifact from it?

To be sure you should probably log out, completly clear your browser History including cookies and try it one more time.
