i need to evaluate this circuit

are there better ways of making a squarewave or worse

some good points for using this circuit than using something else

It can be done with a 555; but the proper IC to make a VCO is the 566 instead

If you insist in using a 555, there is many circuits on the net and in its data sheet.

i have to evaluate it so i need things to compare it with

also i have noticed that the 566 only does frequencies between 1KHz and 10KHz i need frequencies between 24KHz and 51KHz (or a wider range which includes the frequencies that i have mentioned)
