vizio VU42L FHDTV10A - after startup picture looses horizontal sync.

Does anyone have any information on how to go about fixing this TV? Not sure if it's a capacitor in the PSU or a possible bad chipset on a motherboard. Has anyone else seen an issue on this system w/ similar characteristics?
