I would like to read about, investigate and produce a detailed essay on a subject which is controversial and juicy in electrical/electronic engineering. I would like to answer something during this.

So far I've come up with:
Renewable energy- but what question am I answering here?
Brain cancer with phones. seems like a cliche?

    • Renewable energy -- distribution price ? can we afford it or it only
    • Brain cancer with phones -- you're not that smart and the area may correlate through esoteric
-- shortly some RF ranges may correlate the areas where the biota links up with it's domain (?telepathy?) / by disturbing this link / you may add up to stress level of the person / stress may lead to variety cancers / one of which is the brain cancer
-- to do anything scientific here you need to compare (assuming*) 150 disease/health files for cancer patients extensively using a cell phone + 150 of those not significantly using it
*note : you must cover (not explaining) 50 person types so that it'd had some statistical meaning
-- if you ever do such research you likely/mostly can conclude that in ??? 10% to 2% of cases the cell phone 'over use' may be a contributing factor in cancer developement

I'm not following your implied contextual value of "Juicy" here.

By that I meant a topic which would be able to bring in a heated debate.

Unfortunately topics that are related to rational things like science and technology tend to not have all that much capacity for heated debate. The raw numbers pretty much define the viability of anything and where it can or cannot work effectively.
