need HELP. please. standalone RFID turnstile.

hi everyone.
i REALLY need help on how we will do our electives. it's a standalone turnstile that uses RFID to unlock then pass through using arduino. We dont know what to do and where to start. we only have three weeks but we didnt do anything yet. We are in the nick of time. PLEASE help us.
