It's not too late to give Tesla the recognition he deserves!

DerStrom8, have you read any Bob Mayer books?, I've just finished 'The Truth' (7th in the Area 51 series) and Tesla makes an 'appearance' in it, as he often does in SciFi (such as a TV series where he was a vampire in Sanctuary).

Hmm, I can't say that I have read that one.

Tesla makes a great sci-fi character because all of his innovations were considered very futuristic in his time, and he did have some (admittedly) crazy ideas of death rays and alien contact. I'm not at all surprised that he's made it into a wide variety of sci-fi novels, movies, and video games.

Hi folks, not sure if anyone's still following this thread but I wanted to post this regardless.

Progress on the Tesla Museum and Science Center is continuing, and with the help of some devoted locals they have been able to clean up a significant portion of the grounds. They are currently running another fundraiser to help pay for the actual building construction: They're offering personalized bricks that you can design online. There are a few different sizes, each for different prices. The cost may seem a bit high, but keep in mind that if you purchase a brick, you will actually become a part of the center, so to speak. All proceeds are going to a good cause.

Thanks everyone for your support, whether you have donated or not! Don't forget to spread the word :)

Regards,
Matt
