Ive been searcing the web for flame throwers for a hearse im building, i have found many kits. i was wandering if any one has ideas on how to build a controle box for one. ive come up with a way of do it macanicaly witha distibuter and electric moter, but it would be to bulky. i have a very basic understanding of electronics(ive fixed a few VCRs, radios), so any ideas, scimatics, web sites would be helpfull.

You could do it the old fashioned way my uncle used to use. Drill a hole near the end of the tailpipe, put a spark plug through the hole and weld or use JB Weld to keep it there. Connect a wire from it to a switch (well insulated which runs to the positive of a coil. Tune the carb rich, gun the engine and push the switch - flames a flying.

A way with a new technology twist, buy a simple electric bbq ignitor and connect it the same way to the tail pipe, tune the carb and boom.
