Hi,

Attached is two parallel battery circuit with diodes. My question is, is there a difference in operation? or are they theoretically the same? Can one cause issues given that all the components are functioning properly.

Thanks.

They will operate the same way.

Niether will the other four possible topologies you haven't asked about yet ;)

diode drops are seriously bad with batteries, which are themselves low voltage. It means much inefficiency

Same diffrence, its a series circuit.
What is the reason for this?, you can use fets as low drop diodes, but there may be a way round using diodes altogether.
