Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and I swear... I did try doing a search, but nothing helpful came up.
I am building an LED Dancefloor and need a little help with the controlling aspect of it.
So... I will eventually have approximately 128 squares 8 wide and 16 long... or I will go with a smaller block pattern and do 16 wide and 32 long, leaving me with 256 squares.
I would like to control the boards similar to the ones below

The Arduino controller is supposed to be capable of this but I dont understand how and the coding freaks me out just to think of it. Ultimately I would like for the information to be transferred via USB or even be stored on a USB.
I will be driving approximately 128 1 Watt Luxeon LEDs, that is unless I go with the 256 LED version.
Anyone here have any clues as to where I should start?
Or even better... does anyone here want to help me build it?
