can i use a playstation bluetooth controller to control my battle bot. I think I can take is out puts and us them as inputs to a H-bridge to drive the motors.

If you can build a robust enough receiver, sure. Battlebots tend to have very simple electronics on them for reliability and cheapness (since you are sending it into battle). Can Bluetooth tolerate all the noise going on from battlebot motors and the arena?

The site says it was designed to work with noise (frequency hopping, etc.). Bluetooth receivers can be had on sparkfun for under $50: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/pro...oducts_id=8497 They're sold out now, but I'm guessing they'll get the modules in stock one day.

I mite use an older RF playstation controller. Busting the range may will be easer, I am more formilur with RF from my Are Force training.
