Default Putting Intelligence into my Robot

Hi..
I have something in mind.. i want to build a robot with some intelligence.
I want to use a PIC 16F84/PIC 16F73 and make my robot remenber things.
May be first manually control the robot to follow a certain path. Then leave the robot on its own and trace the same path over and over again.
Then reprogam the guy to follow yet another path and do things over and over again.
Can some one suggest some ideas ??

There are alot of toys out there that do that
you could hack them or do it your self.

I would not use a PIC 16F84A
that would be a pore decision in my opinion.

How big are you making this robot?

You got to add more info on this post.

Also how many amps and voltage are your dc motors going to be?

Do you want any sensors?

Add more.
