Default Pic Output - cable length

Hi,

Am outputing a signal around 10 to 50Khz from portA,0 on a 16F chip thats driving some power outputs housed in a separate enclosure.

Any suggestions as to how far away the two boxes could be without signal loss/ problems, without having to resort to signal booster ?
Am looking at 3ft max using a shielded cable

thanks.

It depends on what the receiver part is doing, but if properly designed 3 feet should be no problem.
