    it must had penetrated deep and i dont want that to ever happen to me. i hate the pain associated with being pierced in my thumb

    I think we have all suffered the chip in thumb/finger pain. The only worse thing is stepping on a dropped chip with bare feet. You only do that once.

    You can do the bread board with a pen but that don't work on a ic socket got to use the screwdriver. And don't it feel good using you hand as a ic socket.?

    OUCH! ive dont that also. Felt like a tiny vampire bit me in the finger. lol

    For sockets i do use the smallest flat head screwdriver i own.

    guys will matter if i used rs232 over rs233 so long the pins are correct?

    i ran into some prob about the first code. leds do not turn on after pressing key in the keyboard using hyperterminal. after i removed the serial cable from the pc, while circuit was still powered up, then the leds would show or light up. is this a oscillator issue? i used tx and the caps are 10pf. thanks.
