Exclamation USART with PS/2

In my university project i plan to control the movement of a robot using a PS/2 mouse. The data about x and y movement of the robot sent by the mouse will be used. The PIC that i use is 16F877a. Can i use the USART module of the PIC to communicate with the PS/2 mouse? Are they compatible with each other?

Nope, PS/2 is more a CLK/DATA sort of thing. There are many examples on the web for PS/2 to microcontroller projects.
