hi friends,
i am a rookie users of PIC18f4331.. i am using c compiler, i am unable to enable internal clock of this device

, i want to generate 8Mhz clock... what i have to do... plz reply in detail.... i wil be grateful to u...

Set OSCCON to 0x72

what should be the "configuration bits" for oscillator in MPLAB??

There's a handy way to find config bit info. Open up the 18F4331.INF file (it's in your MPLAB / MPASM Suite directory) and scroll to the config section.

You'll find there.
; OSC = IRCIO Internal RC, RA6 & RA7 are I/O
