    Default XTAL choice

    Dear All,

Does anyone know how the choice of XTAL reflects:

Capture pin working range (any formula)
PWM pin working range (any formula)

    Using a PIC16F874

    Thanks
    Best Regards

Read the data sheet, it explains all you need to know. But for a start, a single instuction takes one quarter of the clock speed (so for 4MHz it takes 1uS). Some of the instructions (goto etc.) take two instruction cycles, again it's all in the data sheet.
