    Default Analog output PICs

Is there any version of the PIC series that has an integrated D/A converter ( Analog outputs ) ?

I've not seen any, but many have hardware PWM which can be used, followed by a low-pass filter (which a normal D2A requires anyway).

Or you could use 8 pins to feed an R2R ladder, giving 8 bit resolution.

Both of those options will work but if the impedance of the load you're driving is low, you'll need a buffer.

I do not answer private messages asking for help because no one else can: benefit from advice I may give or correct me if I'm wrong.

Please ask on the open forum if you have a question and I'll be happy to help,
    if I know the answer.

The required filter can act as the buffer, it really needs to be an active one in any case - the same also applies to using an IC D2A as well.

The PIC also needs to be powered from a stable 5V supply.

Really? That's the first I've heard of it.
