| Experienced Member   |  PORTA output problem Hello all, I'm facing a problem which PORTA is not working properly. Can anyone tell me if PORTA,4 would work as output if I have an external crystal and TMR1 working? I've made TRISA b'00001111', I suppose I would still be able to use RA4 as output? But still there isn't any voltage coming out from RA4 after I turned it on. RA6,7 is used for external crystal. I've uploaded the full code if anyone wants to check it out. |

| Super Moderator   | A4 is an open-collector output (read the datasheet), you need a pullup resistor to use it as a normal output. |
