Hi All,
I am using various analogue and digital Pic inputs, such as switches, ntc sensors etc; some on leads up to 2 meters long. I’ve been using twin cored screened cable, with the cores to Pic signal input and 0v dc., and the screen to a totally separate Earth point. Many commercial sensors I see, come supplied with coaxial cable and a Bnc plug, that connect to the signal input and 0v dc. What I would like to know is which cabling method, if any, is the better way ? Also, in both cases, but particularly when using the coaxial leads, should Earth be connected to the 0v dc of the Pic supply ? Thanks Richard |
