Default

When debugging, either by using a simulator running on a PC, or when doing in-circuit debugging, you can set break or watch points.

At these points the program execution stops, or values are stored for looking at later.

Either can be very useful to see what your code is doing at a certain point, or even if it is getting to that point.

Single-stepping code is like putting a break point at each step.
