i have a motor and a spring operated leaf switch,and what i want to do is when i tap down the switch i want the motor to go in the other direction, and when i tap it again i want it to go back the other way,does anyone know what type of ic i might need to do this.

1) Use a T Flip Flop to toggle the input to an H bridge. Dont forget the NOT gate at the input of the H Bridge
2) use any low pin count microcontroller (like 10F200)+ an H bridge (since you want to change direction) 3) Using a DPDT slide switch, you can do without the microcontroller or an H bridge, |
