Default help with finding correct microcontroller

im really new to programming and microcontrollers, i have a book called ''electronics for dummies'' and there is a section int it about microcontrollers,the part/s that i need for what i want to do say (basic stamp2, BOE board of education) BASIC stamp all in one microcontroller,now ive read the whole thing and i understand it, but i dont know where to buy it from,im from australia, and ive tried jaycar and they dont seem to have a clue what im talking about,does anyone know where i can get this BASIC stamp2 all in one microcontroller from.
