i need to interface my pc with 89c51, serially
recieve data, store it in a database
the data tht i will be recieving is the tag id from a reader interfaced to my pc

i can prg a bit on tc, will tc be enough??
how do i set baud rates on it??

You'll probably need a language to write your application in. So is the 89C51 in the tag reader? What baudrate and format does the tag reader use?
