| Hi to all I have a project called "Design an Intelligent Switch". The project specifications are here I'm a beginner to pic programming. So i like to make the project by using PIC 16F84A micro controller. Please let me guide to do this project. Give some ideas to complete the project Regards Rukshan The Site Writer | |

| As per the specifications I would say yes. But I do whole heartedly suggest the use of a device not deemed obsolete by the manufacture of the device. Objective undisputable Reasons to evolve past the F84 for new designs: 1. Newer chips have equal pinouts of old chip. 2. Newer chips are 1/3 the cost of old chip. 3. Newer chips 2x the speed of old chip. 4. Newer chips have 2x the code space of old chip. 5. Newer chips have built in oscillator which further makes the new chip lower cost. 6. Newer chips have more built in protocals, features, and peripherals. Last edited by donniedj; 15th September 2007 at 08:45 PM. | |

| So basically you want a single button that can turn on and off? Simple! Ive made this circuit before. I seem to have lost the schematic though. | |
