Hi,
If the need is only to program 89s51/52, and if the PC can supposrt parallel port, simplest programmer is found at www.ikalogic.com in the projects section. this set up can program many flash type devices and the driver isalso appended thaere in.

if only Rs232 port is to be used, this appears ok but what all chips the driver can support?

Parallel Ports will be history if not already is. This gives you an option to use with newer PCs or laptops using cheaply available USB to serial converters.
For now only AT89S51/52 is supported but more chips may be supported soon. This programmer is faster than a parallel port programmer, program an AT89S52 in about 5 seconds flat.
