    Default Zif Socket (easy question)

I know about two kinds of zif-sockets: Universal and Standard.
    Which of them suits PIC12F675?
    Universal (http://www.futurlec.com/Sockets/ZIFU28.shtml)
    Standard (http://www.futurlec.com/Sockets/ZIFS28.shtml)

    thanks.

Buy the universal ZIFF's as they will fit all types of PICs/IC's (Normal and Wide ones) and they are a dime or two extra

Standard are only good for wider chips, like the 16F877

You need the universal, this will fit all DIP PIC's, the standard only accepts wide chips (16F877 type width but not 16F876).

You should get a 40 pin one though, NOT a 28.

    thank you very much!
I will order 40 pins, so I'll later be able to use other PICs.
