Question Capture, Compare, PWM modules ???

Code:
Two Capture, Compare, PWM modules
- Capture is 16-bit, max. resolution is 12.5 ns
- Compare is 16-bit, max. resolution is 200 ns
- PWM max. resolution is 10-bit
I found this in datasheet of PIC16F877A,

I know about PWM(Pulse Width Modulation), but don't know the usages of this.

And what is capture Module??? And where we use it???

And what is Compare module??? And where we use it???

Plz guide me and explain each and every thing...

if there is any link then put link here.

I am in learning process and learning on self intrest. I use google but found nothing useful.

Thanks

Try downloading the 'mid-range reference manual' from MicroChip.
