Default Serial Cable Problem

I have a simple problem. I have a 15 pin cable for a gaming device, that I think is a serial cable. Am I right. If so does anyone know where I can get a pinout for this kind of cable. I want to ue it for a serial programmer. thanks in advance.

If the 15-pin connector is the one for the joystick/joypad that plugs to the PC's sound card, it is not RS232. The schematic and pinout is shown in the attached schematic.
