Default Pickit

Hello everyone.

Quick question. Can the PICKIT Flash Starter (the kit used to simulate rfPICs) be used to download the program onto the PICs as well or is it just a testing board for already-programmed PICs? Thanks a lot.

Pickit1 is a menu item in MPLAB. Pickit2 is yet to be a menu item. It uses a separate software menu to insert the Hex file from MPLAB.

The PICKit 2 is expected to be added into MPLAB sometime soon.

Hi, Mike. Are you still doing schematics with Microsoft Excel?

Yes, Pickit2 is expected to be included in MPLAB version 8, due to be released in the Fall of 2005. No, that's not a typo.
