Hi Falleaf,
Well I joined your forum, and saw my text changed as I typed. That gives me a bit of insight to how your language uses the Roman alphabet. It also gives me some insight to how your people pronounce English. As I said there, I have some Vietnamese boys in my class, and had a hard time at first, with pronouncing there names, especially when I saw how they spelled them. I think Vietnamese has similar syntax with English, and if it wasn't for the tonal nature (if i remember you use 5 tones?) think it would be easy to learn. I sure like the sound of Vietnamese! Those boys are here to learn Korean, which they and I both, have a hard time with. The syntax is very different, and Korean uses honorifics, both of which give us such a hard time. The Vietnamese boys also seem to do so much better with English than the Koreans. (They are also much 'warmer' people! In Korea, foreigner has a negative connotation, and Koreans believe they are a pure race.) Some day I will visit Vietnam!

Anyway, thanks for the link, hopefully it will be somewhat useful.

Regards,
Robert

I'm so sorry.

I forgot to tell you that picvietnam is supported to type in Vietnamese, so there are some special code.

So, pls press Ctrl-F9, 2 times. It'll turn off the Vietnamese typing.

Thanks for join in us.

I kind of liked it.

What would be really helpful is some translations of the basic navigation words, etc. For example, at the top of this thread is UserCP FAQ NewPosts Search...
Are they the same?

When I go to Vietnam, for sure I'll contact you.
Regards,
Robert
