Default PIC18F4550 and USB

Hi all.

I need an example for use the PIC18F4550 to connect with PC via USB.
I have to use FTD232 but it not suitible for my applications.

please advise me.

Assuming the 18F4550 has a USB interface built in (some of the 18F series do!), then you don't need an FTD232 (which is just a USB to serial converter).

MicroChip have application notes on using their USB enabled PIC's - but be aware, it's NOT simple to do USB!.

How easy or how difficult it would be will really depend on the requirements of your application.
