It's possible there are two different caps in the same can.

See if there is more than one value printed on the cover.

It's a dual cap, the smaller rating for the condensor fan and the other for the compressor motor. For HVAC uses that is (most commonly). Edit: BTW, I sure hope you aren't "rubbing" the motor with these, motors get hot! Last edited by ke5frf; 4th November 2009 at 07:52 PM. | |
