How about a pendulum or a cuckoo? An electronic cuckoo?

for real what about in puting some weather data like outside/inside temp. wind speed, wind direction, etc.
am assuming this is going into your living room?
add a differential thermometer. compare the outside temp with inside temp. then calculate the energy efficiency of your house.
