Default quad comparator

this is a partial wiring diagram for an Lm339 quad comparator. Where do the lines with the questionmarks go when u look at the pin diagram for the comparator. It's a 14 pin comparator. Diagram says 5 lines to the comparator, 3 of which I can tell. That leaves11 pins 2 choose from. where do the 2 wires go and why don't they just tell u or label them?

Those are for the + and - power. The leads are labeled on the data sheet for the LM339.

Who is this "they" that didn't mark the leads?

The 14-pins are used as follows: 2 for power and 3 for each of the four comparators in the package, giving a total of 14 pins.
