Yes, I suggest you try searching on google for 'x10', there are lots of home control systems based around the x10 system. One of the hits from google is http://www.x10pro.com/.

Hi Nigel!
I have been to the x10 site but think its not that what i want.Actually I am looking for a circuit (similiar to ordinary electronic watch circuit) which can give me an idea to control L/F.

Default Circuit

Dear astropak,

What you need is:

High power relays (electrical to mechanical switch)
ULN2803 (To turn the relay on and off)
logic buffers (to protect PC)

I would probably use the PC's parrallel port, uysing

visual basic.

Search the internet for "inpout.dll" - this will make using the parrallel
port much easier!

Bye for now!

Dear Astropak,

goto the following link

http://www.geocities.com/micgm/circuit/circuit.html

This guy has made a circuit similar to what you want.

You need to find out TOTAL Current and Voltage you want to
switch ON, then you choose a relay which can handle this power.

Once you have found a relay find out what is the resistance of the coil in the relay (measured in ohms)

Then I can help you adapt the circuit on the above link!

Hope this helps
