Card Edge Connectors: Help Please! - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Everyone knows what mates with these connectors... the edge of a PCB. But in my case, I need to find something that I can connect ribbon cable to and insert it into a card edge connector. It there a "Male" card edge connector? :? Or is my only option to solder ribbon cable to a flimsy, rough-looking PCB? :lol: Thanks,

I've seen (and have one for spec.device repair) a cca.30cm long PCB with only long tracks, one side gold-plated and other side a female connector.
