Default strobe and pin 1of lm311 V.Com

Whats is strobe? Do I nead it?
IN the big pic pin 6 is connected to a resistor that is connected to what?

I nead to make an H BRIDGE

Is pin 1 to be earthed as in the small pic.
Or is it an out pin as in the big pic.

thanks.

Pin 1 the emitter of output transistor, in H-bridge applications can drive the low-side transistor. With strobe input You can switching off the output independently from inputs state. I mean this function need in second application (railway), because the only way to give stop.

Oh,Ok.
Now I understand.
so, strobe is switch.
It must be connected to positive with resitor to activate this comparator?

Thanks Very much Sebi

No. If connected to GND via 1k resistor = switched off.
