Could you ask a little more precisely?

My daughter went out this morning with one red stripy sock, and one green stripy sock - she has another pair just like them at home

She generally mixes her socks up.

She was probably proud of the fact they were different. In my day we strove to look as much like other kids as possible; these days young people strive to look as different as possible.
