| Hello... I don't have much electronics background, but i had a toy with a POV(Persistence Of Vision) chip on it that was rotated manually. I used that chip and connected it to a small DC motor from another toy....i used an AC\DC adapter to feed the motor...it works fine now. My question is, i want to be able to control the speed of the DC motor....am putting the AC\DC adapter on 1.5V which is the lowest volt it can supply, i tried increasing the Volt and it increase the speed. I want to decrease it...is it possible if i put a resistance, or a variable resistance before the motor it would work, will that make it slower or let me control the speed? If not, how to do it? Thanks, | |
