Removing LCD Screen From Laptop??? - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Hi im trying to remove my screen from my laptop and just use my 22'' external monitor because my laptop screen is just about stuffed, so i hooked up my 22'' screen to the laptop and it works fine, but when i remove the laptop screen the external monitor wont work, does anyone know how to get around this without having to run two screens?

in display setting if i choose this monitor as my primary monitor and then remove my laptop screen, and reboot it do you think it will work then?
