Default Identifying motors

I'm having problems identifying the follow motors just from the photos. I sort of know some of them but not confident enough to confirm. Really appreciate it if I can get some help here:

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

nr 1 is squirrel cage induction motor
nr 2 need to see the name plate
nr 3 rotor of an induction motor
nr 4 dc induction motor
nr 5 ac motor
nr 8 stepper motor
nr 9 could be a dc syncronous motor
nr 10 see8
nr 11 need name plate
nr13 see5
nr14 looks same as nr 8 and 10
nr 15 most likely a stepper motor but could be a synchronous dc motor

what is the aim????

I needed to write about each motor for an assignment, however, it's impossible to write about the motors without not knowing the names, hence the need for help instead of browsing for hours for the names.

"nr 15 most likely a stepper motor but could be a synchronous dc motor"

That's a new one on me. What could a "dc synchronous motor" possibly be in-synch with?

#15 has a name plate and lists a speed (can't be a stepper) and lists inductance (probably isn't DC). Two sets of wires could be windings/starting cap; windings/tachometer; run winding/start winding; dual-voltage windings.

#2 has three wire colors, black, white, green. From that, I'd assume it's an AC motor.

What is the point of all this, anyway?

Here is the alternative angle of #2 if it helps at all (http://imagebin.ca/view/jD63LQ1.html). Btw, what kind of ac motor do you think it is? Thanks for identifying the motors!

Btw, I can't seem to find anything DC Induction motors. Are there such things?

a dc synchrnous motor is in synch with it's magnetic driving field so the movement reaction is not out of fase ( no slip) with the signal given on the terminals

DC induction motor is in english probably a dc motor

some languages they indicate magnetic field by electricity which is the same as induction

brushless dc motor is with a permanent magnet on the rotor and the windings in the housing of the motor

brushed dc motor is with the permanent magnet in the housing and the windings on the rotor

Once again, thanks for your insight. I think I got what I need now for the assignment.

No it isn't, there's no such thing as a DC induction motor.
