It stands for the positive supply voltage applied to the collector of a transistor circuit. It is simular to Vee the negative voltage supply applied to the emitter circuit, and Vbb the bias voltage applied to the base. By analogy in FET circuits we have Vdd for the drain, Vss for the source, and Vgg for the gate.Originally Posted by cooter
