Default PIC Programmer using C

Hey,

I currently have a P16PRO40 programmer available, and I'm looking to program a few PICs. I'd prefer to use C due to time constraints, so I was wondering if there is software out there to do this.

Is there any other way to avoid Assembly?

Thanks!
