compatible Triac - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Dear Friends,

I have recently attempted to repair my washing machine, using a DVM and safe working practice and online tutorials, I have found a triac to be faulty:

BTB12 600BW

As I live in UK, I have a local maplin, does anyone know if they have a compatible triac -

Call Maplin, sure they can cross ref it for you. Or get the specs and search the web.

12A 600 volts with snubberless (tm) logic level 10-50ma gate. You can use a 16A and 800volt as well.
