Default Adding Analog Signals

Hi,

I am working on a project that involves the reading of two load cells on a scale. The analog output from the load cells needs to be summed so they are effectively one load cell. How do you add two analog signals and should it be done before or after amplification/signal conditioning?

Thanks

Google op-amp summing circuits. They should be able to amplify and sum in one step. The order that you do other signal conditioning is done in depends on what you want and what you are doing. Is there any other signal conditioning?

Here is one, but I suggest you google and read up on it more

Be aware that often times the circuit will have an inverted output.

I plan on using an AD7730 which includes amplification and signal conditioning.
