Question S9012 Transistor

I'm a newbie so bear with me pls if I'm asking this in wrong the section. I just would like to find out the substitue for the above transistor pls. Any ideas would be welome.

It's off power supply unit for the portable drill - PSU is OK, the dc goes into this battery holder; the transistor's of it - O/C on all legs!

I suspect you may either need a larger transistor or have a fault, sure the power supply is at the correct voltage?
I just picked the PN200 because I normally get them for under 20c each
