40 Series IC. - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

Can anyone give me a list of commonly used 40 series of ICs ?

I have got a list of TTL ICs(74 Series). The 74 Series operates at 5v. This 40 Series that I am looking for is the CMOS equivalant of the 74.

Their numbers do not seem to correspond to the 74 series.

Please help.

I did a Google search for "4000 series cmos". Here is one good hit. Take your pick of the ones you think you need.
Also search for "74c series cmos".
