How to design linear transformer? - Electronic Circuits Projects Diagrams Free

I want to design a 230v /230v transformer.i don't know how to select its turns ratio and current reating.its output will be going to voltage multiplier ckt,which will be generating 2KV pulses at the output.
The current rating approximately will be 500ma.
